Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated at Pallavi International School, Gandipet with festive fervor. The day was marked by a special assembly in the seminar room of the school where students from all classes participated. The school adopted hybrid methods both for learning or in special assemblies, where students who came to see students were seated in the seminar room, while students who opted for online instruction joined via the WebEx link. Decorated in vibrant hues, the seminar had an atmosphere of joy and happiness.
The special assembly was organized by Aayushi Dipankar and Zainab Hussain from Class IX. The celebrations began with the national song followed by the school song and a welcome dance. Principal Meetali Archit addressed the gathering and wished everyone the occasion. She then briefed the students on the essence of Diwali.
The school organized several competitions to imbue the students with the spirit of the festival. From making diyas, performing dance where students from all classes enthusiastically participated. All winners received certificates at the special assembly.

The students showcased the spirit of Diwali through scintillating dance performances, a story behind the Diwali celebration and Diwali themed songs which added a lot of exuberance and brought great joy to the audience. The Class IX girls’ dance to the Bollywood mashup was a thrilling performance. The facilitators organized a fun Diwali quiz for the students. The assembly ended with a note of thanks followed by the national anthem.
