Chandramukhi’s song Chandra was released last week to a huge response from the Marathi audience.
The much-talked-about and highly-anticipated film Chandramukhi, based on the novel of the same name by Vishwas Patil, has been attracting public interest for almost two years now. It is a romantic drama about an ambitious and shrewd politician and a beautiful dancer played by Amruta Khanvilkar.
With just over three weeks to go until the film’s release, the song, Chandra, featuring the lead actress was released last week. The song was met with a huge response from the public. Amruta dance has been widely enjoyed by Marathi audiences. The song is making waves on social media. And now, in a new video, someone else has joined Amruta in a dance performance to the song Chandra.
It was none other than director Prasad Oak’s wife, Manjiri Oak, who made a dance video with Amruta to the song and posted it on her social media account. Sharing the video, Manjiri captioned, “Amruta, the magic of your dance is such that seeing you dance, even those who can’t dance will want to shake a leg. I am one of them. You and Ashish are magicians. You can make anyone dance”.
Prasad Oak commented on his wife’s dance and said he had no words to appreciate it. Amruta also had a word of appreciation for Manjiri, who is an entrepreneur by profession. She has also worked with her husband Prasad Oak as an assistant director and is very active on social media.
Chandramukhi is scheduled for release on April 29. Akshay Bardapurkar, the chef and founder of Planet Marathi, said of Chandramukhi, “We are committed to giving the audience the best and so we have built a great work of art for them. Working with Prasad Oak has been a great opportunity for us”.
