Hyderabad, July 21 (IANS) A video of a girl dancing on a Hyderabad metro train and in a metro station has gone viral on social media.
The girl filmed dance reels for Instagram both on the platform and inside the train.
Grooving to the Tamil song “Ra Ra”, the content creator garnered thousands of likes as the video went viral on various social media platforms.
After the incident was brought to their attention, Hyderabad Metro officials said they would take action against the girl for violating metro rules. They pointed out that photography and videography are not allowed on the train or on the platform.
However, it was unclear what action would be taken against the girl, who has not yet been identified.
Meanwhile, Twitter users were split over the girl’s action. While some praised her for her bravery and felt it would help further promote Hyderabad, others called her a nuisance and demanded action.
“The height of immodesty..These girls behave publicly like that so what society we live in. Stop this nonsense in the PUBLIC PLACES of the metro take action”, wrote a user.
“From when did we Hyderabadis become grumpy and intolerant. We hear of so many murders on the main thoroughfares but don’t flinch but complain if someone dances, Get a life people,’ another shot back.
Another Twitter user posted an old video of some supporters of Telangana Congress leader A. Revanth Reddy dancing inside the metro and wanted to know if Hyderabad metro authorities had filed a complaint against them.
Young people wearing Revanth Reddy masks had filmed a dance on the train in April 2019 and posted it on social media.
