Hillary Clinton shows support for Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin after dance video leaks. See posts

Former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, in a show of personal support for Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, tweeted a photo of herself dancing. “Keep dancing,” the former US presidential candidate tweeted on Sunday, lending her personal support to Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, whose party spirit has caught the world’s attention.

Hillary Clinton posted a photo of herself, dancing with a big smile on her face in a crowded club during a trip to Colombia in 2012 when she was still secretary of state and wrote the caption “keep dancing , @marinsanna”. Meanwhile, Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin quickly responded, tweeting, “Thank you @Hillary Clinton”, and including a heart emoji. The show of support came after a recently leaked video that showed Sanna Marin dancing and partying with a group of friends, AFP reported.

While critics said it showed inappropriate behavior for a prime minister, others, including Clinton, defended the 36-year-old politician’s right to enjoy a private event with friends. While the Prime Minister of Finland on Wednesday forcefully defended his work record and his right to privacy after criticism sparked by a video of the 36-year-old partying.

Marin told fellow members of his Social Democratic Party that sometimes it was important to let loose. “I am human. And I too sometimes yearn for joy, light and pleasure amid these dark clouds,” said Marin, the world’s youngest prime minister. She added that she hadn’t missed “a single day of work”. But she was met with further backlash when a photo emerged of two women lifting their tops at a party at the Prime Minister’s Residence in July. Marin apologized again, AFP says the report.
