Britney Spears breaks down in tears in new dance video: ‘A long-awaited outing’

“It’s been a while since I cried in front of the camera” Britney Spears captioned her latest dance video. In the clip, uploaded September 13, Britney, 40, found herself shedding tears as she channeled her energy and spirit to from Indila “SOS” Britney twirled, danced as the music played and spoke in a way that left her cheeks wet with tears. Britney also told her fans that she didn’t have a “breakdown” but that this moment was “a release that I’ve needed for a really long time now.” She also said the crying session was due to a “spiritual experience, that’s for sure” and it might not be the last time we’ll see her cry. “I think I need to do more,” she added. “Psss… bawl.”

Fans gave Britney some love in the comments section. “Release all that bad energy,” one wrote. “You are an artist, Brit. Speak up!” added another. The rest of the comments were equally supportive: “Vulnerability is the strongest act of kindness”; “Release the pain, sweetie”; “I hope you have the healing and peace for the rest of your life”; “If we don’t release our tears, they accumulate and are stored as pain. I am impressed with how you deal with your emotions so gracefully.

In recent weeks, Britney has dealt with the stress of her strained relationship with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden. The two teenagers Britney shares with her ex-husband Kevin Federlin, haven’t seen or spoken to their mother in months. In a recent interview, they revealed why they didn’t attend her wedding. Sam Asghari in June. “I’m not saying I’m not happy for her,” 15-year-old Jayden said. “I’m really happy for them, but she didn’t invite the whole family, and then if it was just me and Preston, I just don’t see how this situation would have ended on good terms.

Jayden has also spoken out against her mother’s social media posts. “It’s almost like she has to put something on Instagram to get attention,” Jayden said. “It’s been going on for years and years and years, and chances are it won’t end never really, but hopefully for me, maybe she will.” Jayden also said there’s a chance his relationship with Britney will be repaired. “It’s just going to take a lot of time and effort…I really want to see her again.”

Britney has responded to criticism from her sons. “I tried my best to be the best person possible,” she wrote on Sept. 1. “I tell my son Jayden that I send you all the love in the world everyday for the rest of my life.”
