‘Baby Shark Dance’ video reaches 10 billion views

“Baby Shark Dance” has become the first YouTube video to reach 10 billion views.

Pinkfong’s immensely popular “Baby Shark Dance” has become the first video on YouTube to cross the 10 billion view mark.

Since then, his gap with the second has widened. The video surpassed 10 billion views as of 4 p.m. on January 13. It can be said that based on the number of views alone, the video was viewed once by the entire population living on Earth. The cumulative reading time is about 43,000 years, which corresponds to the period from the Paleolithic period to the present day.

“The rare achievement of 10 billion views proves the value of video as a popular global intellectual property (IP), which has already been demonstrated by titles such as the most popular video on YouTube, 11 platinum certifications by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and fifth place in Netflix’s Today’s Top 10 category,” said an official from The Pinkfong Co.
